8:30 AM – 9:00 AM ………….. Coastline ride into the small farming village of Lien Minh
9:15 AM – 12:15 PM ………… Jungle trek into the mountains of the National Park
12:15 PM – 1:15 PM…………… Delicious lunch on a bee farm with fresh local foods
1:30 PM – 4:30 PM…………….. Guided Rock Climbing in Butterfly Valley
4:45 PM – 5:30 PM ……………. Return to Cat Ba Town

The day begins with a twenty minute ride along the beautiful coast line of Cat Ba Island and into the lush green hills of secluded Lien Minh Village. Soon you’ll find yourself in the remote and breath taking Butterfly Valley, Lien Minh with only twelve farming family inhabitants. Here you will meet your trekking guide(s), who will take you for a trek into the jungle and mountains of this remote and untravelled section of the national park.
After your trek, you will return to a local bee farmer’s home to eat a delicious home-cooked Vietnamese meal made with some fresh locally grown produce. Under a hand-made bamboo enclosure enjoy an authentic home cooked meal and feel free to interact with the genuine, friendly, and kind indigenous peoples of Lien Minh.
Re-energized with a full stomach, take a short walk through the farmlands of Butterfly Valley passing friendly water buffalo and cattle. But enough of the scenic mumbo jumbo… we’re here to climb the massive limestone rock face that overlooks the valley!
Your certified climbing guides will outfit you with UIAA licensed climbing gear. You may choose from a variety of routes up the sheer limestone cliffs. Your professional guides will set up secure top-rope systems so you may ascend the rock safely and worry free. Climb as high as you feel comfortable and don’t forget to look down! That’s right, there’s no feeling as rewarding as viewing the stunning valley from a position you created on your own!
